Bug Busting Recipes to keep your family healthy and happy all year long

No matter what the season it seems like a challenge to keep our family healthy throughout the year.

I cannot tell you how many times I have connected with someone and heard “I’m not well.  

I feel awful!”T

hat is no fun!

Here are my go to recipes for kicking those bugs and for getting your “Wellness” on! 

Bug Busting Recipes:

Bug Buster Roller Bottle Blend- Adults Edition

In a 10mL roller bottle combine:

  • 10 drops Frankincense

  • 20 drops Lemon

  • 10 Melaleuca Tea Tree Oil

  • 10 Protective Blend

  • 10 Oregano

Top with fractionated coconut oil or grapeseed oil.

Application: Rub on bottom of your feet, chest, or back 3-4 times per day when you feel seasonal threats coming on and every 2-3 hours when you have full symptoms. 

Bug Buster Balm

Recipe for one 4oz jar or 120ml

  • 5 TB coconut oil

  • 2 TB cocoa butter

  • 1 1/2 TB beeswax

  • 20 drops Frankincense

  • 40 drops Lemon

  • 20 Melaleuca Tea Tree Oil

  • 20 Protective Blend

  • 20 Oregano

On low heat, slowly heat the coconut oil, cocoa butter and beeswax. Melt slowly, be careful not to let any water splash into the oils, this could cause mold issues. Stir occasionally.When all have melted completely remove from heat. Pour into jar(s) and let cool until you can touch.  Then add essential oils and stir.Or add oils to your jar and wait to pour the melted mixture until you can touch it with your hands.  Cover with a paper towel and let sit at least 6 hours until solid. Seal snugly with lid.

NOTES: Makes about a 4oz jar. Shelf life is 3-4 months - store in a dark, cool place.

  • 4 drops Arborvitae

  • 4 drops Lemon

  • 4 Melaleuca Tea Tree Oil

  • 4 Protective Blend

Top with fractionated coconut oil or grapeseed oil.

Application: Apply a small amount to bottoms of feet, back or chest 3-5 times per day (or as needed).

Breathe Better Roller Bottle Blend - Adult Edition

In a 10mL roller bottle combine:

  • 15 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

  • 15 drops Peppermint

  • 15 drops Respiratory Blend

  • 10 drops Rosemary

Top with fractionated coconut oil or grapeseed oil.

Application:  Apply to chest or back as needed. 

Breathe Better Balm
